houston aquarium

when nana came to visit at the beginning of august, we took a trip to the houston aquarium.

the kids loved the alligators they have in the beginning.
it was soo hot... soo crowded... and i felt soo claustrophobic...
one funny thing, norah didn't take to the animals as well as we thought she would. she wanted to be held the whole time. and as adam would get closer to the tank, she would grab onto him with all of her strength and try to get in back of him. so, of course, daddy did this a lot. and, i have to admit, it was pretty funny. traumatic, but funny.

jay is in the little bubble you can crawl into and see underneath the stingray tank.

and monkey-see, monkey-do!

here's the scared monkey, who didn't want to 'do', but did want to 'see'!

that's the corner of her face!

the interactive area was pretty cool - the kids liked touching and feeling.

gracie trying to touch one of the stingrays

and my son, of course, made some girl friends.

now you know why adam loves me... cause i look hot in scuba gear! even a fake one!

jayden is so helpful when it comes to norah... he loves showing her things and helping her 'up'.

what a cute little scuba diver!

aqua man!

at the end, there were 3 or 4 white tigers (we didn't get it, either) caged and the 'big attraction' at the aquarium. poor things. anyway. there's a photo opp at the end and the kids jumped in to get a picture.

this is the one the place took -- pretty good, huh? almost as good as the one we got taken at River Point Church for mother's day! (sarcasm fully intended!)
