saturday night we took the kids to an astros game. we weren't sure of what to expect. jayden has been to a lot of games, grace has been to a game or two (when she was a baby!) and norah has never been - so we knew we were going to have to go in with a lot of patience, some leniency, and possibly leave in the 2nd inning - if need be! :)
after we found our seats (some great seats along the 3rd baseline (!) but in the middle of the row) we returned up the stairs to get our food, drinks and any other necessities - like lots of napkins! then we filed in, first grace, then jay, then daddy and norah with drinks, and then me, holding 4 hot dogs. we settled in... and didn't have to get up again! the kids were so interested in the game, the people watching (ok, maybe that was me!), the food (me, again), the sugar (yup, me again)...
we stayed for the whole game! i know, i still can't believe it!
the kids were amazingly good - like freakish-ly good - like, who are you? good! (haha!)
at the end of the game, the lady behind us said, you're kids are so cute! we loved watching you all (she probably said "y'all") interact...

at the entrance, we took a moment to do what every tourist does, sit on the big concrete baseball and make your kid smile at you! (you have to double-click to enlarge these pics!)

oh yess! there was cheering and rooting on! grace was not shy at all to stand up and yell! (that's my girl!)
the cotton candy was a big deal. we told the kids we would get hot dogs and cotton candy at the baseball game - and our kids don't forget anything! after a few innings, we began looking for the cotton candy vendor. and finally, in the 7th inning, right before they stop selling, a guy comes up our aisle carrying bags and bags of the pink and blue goodness. we had some very happy children! (and mommies!)

Looks like you got a few baseball fans--face it, it was inevitable! And that poor pedicab guy who had to pull all of you (adam, ahem)--I hope you gave him a big tip! hahaahhahahaha

I remember an Astros game with you too. Grace was a baby. We sat behind the kids playground behind left field and I let J wear my watch which he proudly held in an look-at-me position for the rest of the game. Sweet memories.
Love the pics and SO glad it was SO fun. All those pictures made me smile AND gave me hope (Esther's been a little monster), lol.
