At the end of October, we headed out to New Braunfels, TX to attend Wurstfest. If your wondering what Wurstfest is - well, think of a big, dark room. Fill it with a bunch of old men wearing lederhosen and drinking Shiner beer and eating 'Wursts - yep, sausage.
Our friends, Josh and Michelle invited us for the second year in a row... we stay in their RV, eat all day on Saturday at the festival and then feel sick to our stomach's all night. By Sunday, we have food (and other kinds) hangovers and are all ready to go home.
It's really a blast. It is. Really.
On Friday night we ate at Rudy's - an amazing BBQ place here in Texas.
It's the perfect start to this gluttonous weekend.
Check out the 2 scooters - the red one is towing the yellow one!
i thought this was funny - water at a beer festival. and no, it isn't yellow 'water'.
The table is yellow.
Someone got a little nappy-poo.
Did i mention the rides? The kids love these.
oh jeeze - there was DEEP-FRIED CHEESECAKE!!
And we come to Sunday - a day of rest. a day of relaxation. a day of river.
The kids all head to the Guadalupe River to throw rocks, look for wild life and TRY really hard to fall into the freezing cold water.
This post brings an end to Na-blah-blah-blah. I can never remember how to say that. it is actually a lot easier for me to say National Blog Posting Month - than to say NaBloPoMo. my brain wants to say NaPoMloBlo.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun... posting each and every-single-freakin' day. :) I hope you enjoyed it, too.
