Vacation Bible School 2006 - SonTreasure Island

The kids were asked to dress up as Pirate's on one of the days. Jayden wanted to be Captain Jack Sparrow. Complete with the eye make-up. mustache and the "little thing" under his bottom lip. He looked great!

This was crazy hair day. I have wanted to be able to brush and style his hair for years. This was the only legitimate chance I have had. I have heard that in Kindergarten they have a crazy hair day as well. I can't wait!

Jayden had a blast at VBS and asks me almost everyday when the next one is. This week he hosted his own VBS at our house, just for a day. Adam and I love how creative he is and how persistent he was in wanting to do this. The day he thought of it we heard about "his plan" all day long. I was a bit worried he was going to be really disappointed when we didn't really go through with it. But Adam (like the good dad he is) suggested we invite Gabriel and Colin Rocha (friends from church) instead of the whole neighborhood and mommy agreed to that. He decorated his room (OK, Daddy did most of it), we had snacks, a movie and played games. He even made postcard invitations for the 2 boys and had a prize for them to take home. He had a great time telling everyone what to do. I can honestly say it was a success and we had fun for the few hours they were here. When the were leaving Jayden told them to come back tomorrow and for the next 10 days, cause that is how long it was going to run! yikes!
