Well, at the crack of dawn this morning (OK, it was 8am) we began our role as parents of a school age child. There were moments of sadness, but overall excitement as we begin the days of, "Time to go to bed, it is a school night," and, "No, you can't just watch this movie until it is over because school starts in 15 min!"
This is a picture of Jayden so excited to leave the house this morning. He had his Spiderman backpack, his Batman lunchsack, his new clothes and shoes, and even sported a new hairdo... What do you think, Nana??
Beyond these walls he not only is welcomed to Kindergarten but to new friends, new teachers and a new school. Jayden is in a morning Kindergarten/First Grade Multiage Class - which we are so excited about. I think it will be a really good experience. His teacher is Mrs. Klauda (Cloud-a).
This one is for Gamma... I am pretty sure we had pictures taken each year either waiting in a school line or just before we left for school.

I'm looking at it all with tears in my eyes...He looks so big!
The hair, the clothes, the backpack, they all are so wonderful! I cannot WAIT for more Jayden conversations with his unsuspecting new teachers and friends. They should be warned about the witty, adorable and hilarious presence they have in their midst!
Wow--is it that time already?? What a cool day; thanks for documenting it all for us! I can't wait for the update on how the first day went.
