Jay just brought me his report card for the last 9-weeks. He got straight A's (again!)!! We are so proud of how hard he works to get these kinds of results. Homework has definitely not been as much of an issue this year - he does much of it without direction from me.
I wanted to share with you what his teacher wrote about this last reporting period:
Jayden has made much progress during the second nine weeks of school. I have seen a big improvement in his behavior and maturity level at school. Jayden is a hard worker and enjoys academic challenges in class. He enjoys math and is very good at it! He enjoys coming to the teacher table during guided reading and math groups. He loves to contribute to our class discussions in whole group and small groups. I am proud of his grades, attitude, and conscious effort to have self control at school. Thank you for all of your support. Great job, Jayden!

I also read this to Jayden and when his teacher said she was proud of him he said, "That almost made me cry!" As I was tearing up, I said, "Me, too!"
