a few funny things the kids have been saying/doing:
Norah ~
she is telling me when she has "poo-poo" in her "biper" (diaper) - (and it isn't always funny)
she also calls the toilet "poo-poo"
she copies me a lot. if i have my arms crossed, she has her arms crossed. if i am propping up my head on my hand, she does it. today i was rubbing my eyes and i look over and she is doing the same thing, pulling on her eyelashes, just like i was.
Grace~
she called me "mamacita" all morning
when nana comes this week she and i are going to paint the girls room (i'm sure with a lot of help from 3 sets of hands). i told grace this and now she tells everyone. she told the babysitter, she told the neighbor kids, and she told norah this morning.
haley came over to play. when she got here, grace runs to her and says, "haley! do you want to play decepticons?" (transformers)
Jayden~
the other day he asked if "mcdonald's does that thing where they bring it to your door, you know, like the pizza does."
last night i took jay on a few errands with me. we went to ross and tj maxx where jayden wanted to look at the toys. i let him look at them in tj maxx (they were close by) and when we were getting ready to leave he asked for a toy. i told him, no. he told me "i'm not leaving here without this toy" and "i never got a submarine (the toy) in my whole life (which he has)" and then the clencher "if daddy were here he would get it for me".
on the way to his school to check out his class list, we had the windows down. we were coming to the parkway and jayden says, "mom, can you please roll up the window? it's too weendy (windy) on the hah-waye (highway)" his southern drawl comes through every once in a while.
a few weeks ago i was asking the kids if they wanted pizza for dinner. everyone shouts, "yes!!" i said, "where should we get it from?" (directing it to jay more than anyone) and he says, "Cailfornia Pizza Kitchen!"
which reminds me of a time not too long ago when we weren't eating out at all. jayden must have been missing it cause he was asking if we could go to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. i said, "no." (more like NO WAY!) and then he said, "how 'bout McDonald's?" i said, "sorry charlie." then he said, "ok, fine. we'll got to Outback." (i wish!)
