Logix Team Crawfish Boil

I could reasonably also title this post, "The Longest Post Ever".
My friend, Kristina, took these pictures of the crawfish boil we had at our house a few weeks ago. I would post all of the pictures, but then it would just be over kill.

But, as the title truly says, this post is about the Logix Team Crawfish Boil.
Having only been to one other semi-crawfish boil over spring break, this one was our official first as a family. Adam and his team from work (Logix) and all of their families, came over one Saturday afternoon and we had a great time.

To say there was food, would be an understatement. There was not only food, but buckets and buckets of food. And, of course, beer. Who doesn't like a good Shiner Bock?

I love this sequence of pictures of Norah and Presley.
They are so sweet together.

Here, we introduce the star of the afternoon, the crawfish.
Remember this little guy, cause I mourn his death in a later picture.

Andrew is timing our eggs. He says 10 minutes, the rest of us say 15.
We later win this argument and throw them all back in for an extra 5.

SenLy (Adam's boss), me and Kristina (the photographer).

A few of the girls who loved our new waterslide bought just for this night.
Kennedy, Presley, Norah and Grace.

Waiting patiently for the food to cook.
Ahhh! Here it is...

{mourn}

As you can see, we all enjoyed the picking and pulling apart of heads and tails. So much work for a tiny piece of meat. But worth it, I have to say. It tasted a lot like shrimp or lobster would, just not as chewy. It was pretty tender as far as a shell fish goes.

Another boss, Frank and his son, Austin. Austin was a pro at getting to that meat in the crawfish. I'd be done peeling one and he had peeled (and eaten) 4 or 5!
Another Southern treat - CocaCola cake.

Andrew Foxwell (adopted team member and married to Kristina) and SenLy.

I popped into a picture.

Shelda and her fiancee, Paul, and SenLy -
SenLy was making everybody laugh.

Andrew and Pat (SenLy's Husband)
resting in between eating and serving and dishing.

All the kids!

The whole crew!

And it wouldn't be a party without one of Adam's shenanigan's.
(Yes, shenanigan's.)
Ok, so the back story goes something like this...
There are a couple of people on Adam's team who went to A&M. You know, that little university here in Texas? Well, Adam and Andrew give these 2 a hard time about how they got their degree. So, these 2 hard-working, intelligent folk fired back at Adam & Andrew (A&A) about where they, being A&A, went to school.
And then, it happened. A&A threw down a challenge of the minds, you might say.
They got Andrew Foxwell to come up with trivia questions and competitions testing the smarts of these 4 people.
It was A&A vs. A&M.
And not just leaving it at that, A&A had to take it one step further, perhaps even better. They dressed like Roman Soldiers.
And I have no idea why.

Their entrance was to the 300 soundtrack.
It was grand.

The opposing team, Tammy and Cole. I'm not sure when they realized how lopsided this competition was. It had to be about now, though.

The captivated audience.

Andrew F. went all out on this Jeopardy style board.

The winners, give it up folks, Team A&A.

The final look.

But, even with the challenge of the minds, the night was still a whole lotta fun.
