As many of you who follow us on Facebook know, we went to New York City over Valentine's Day weekend. We celebrated 15 years of marriage in January and wanted a way to set it apart from all of our other anniversaries. After a pretty touch-and-go week, we left early Saturday morning and spent 3 full days on the go. There was so much to see, and so much to eat, and we were anxious to be on our way.
We took in Times Square almost immediately after checking in to the hotel.
That's a pretty silly face I'm making - but a kiss in this city is pretty incredible.
A sunset picture from our floor of the hotel.
Have you heard about this sculpture? 'The Sphere' was in the plaza between the World Trade Center towers. It survived the attack on September 11, 2001 and is now in Battery Park on a temporary basis. It has not undergone any repairs and stands with an eternal flame that was lit as a memorial to the victims of the attack. I see the sculpture as a symbol for this part of the city - its damage is visible but its fire is alive.

All of the work being done for the memorial where the towers fell.
Ahhh... Central Park.
It was a beautiful day, and I took so many pictures that it was hard to choose.
See the saxophone player in the middle of the square? So artsy of him...
Being especially careful at this point in time, we looked both ways when crossing streets.
You can never be too careful when The Empire State Building is in view and you have a date with the observation deck.
The Brooklyn Bridge as seen from the top of the Empire State Building.
We could see the shadow of the EmStBuilding on the city below.
We got through much of the sites of the city. But there were still so many we wanted to do.
Next time we will be sure to walk The Brooklyn Bridge, go to The Met, see more of Rockefeller Center, and there's so much more food to be tried!

Love this! Your photos are wonderful. I think Adam looks like a movie producer.
