For Grace's birthday she wanted a Beach Party. So we adapted... We bought a few pools, one for sand and buckets, and lots of beach balls were floating around.
We made our beach picnic standby, Rice Salad with Grilled Chicken for the adults & Hot Dogs and Watermelon for the kids!

we had ice cream cone/cupcakes for her 'birthday cake' -- the bottom half is cake with a scoop of ice cream on top. I was able to make them ahead of time, so it was the easiest thing to serve.
